Check out the uncomplicated walkthrough below and try it out!

Ingredients for making coxinha Easter egg:

For the coxinha dough:

 250 grams of wheat flour

 250 milliliters of milk

 250 milliliters of chicken broth

 1 tablespoon of butter

 salt to taste

For the filling:

1 cooked and shredded chicken breast

 ½ cup cream cheese

 2 tablespoons of tomato paste

 1 chopped onion

 2 chopped garlic cloves

 1 drizzle of oil

 chopped parsley to taste

 black pepper to taste

 salt to taste

For breading and frying:

 1 beaten egg

 ½ cup of breadcrumbs

 frying oil

How to make a coxinha Easter egg:

Make the coxinha dough by putting the butter, milk and chicken stock to boil. When it boils, add the flour and salt to taste and stir without stopping until it mixes and comes off the pan.

Tip: If you don't have homemade chicken broth use 250ml of water with 1 tablet of chicken broth mixed in it.

Turn off the heat and let it cool a little. Then knead and knead until you get a smooth, compact dough - it will be easier if you knead and knead on the floured countertop.

Take a piece of dough and arrange it in the shape of an Easter egg, shaping the bottom and sides to get a shell like the one in the chocolate egg. Set aside in refrigerator for 3-4 hours to set.

Tip: Use a 250g or 500g egg pan and don't make the dough too thick in the pan, ideally it should be less than 1 cm thick.

Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing for this coxinha Easter egg: saute the onion and garlic in olive oil until it becomes transparent. Add shredded chicken and mix. Also add the tomato paste, cottage cheese and seasonings to taste: parsley, black pepper and salt. Mix everything and turn off the heat.

Tip: The amount of cream cheese indicated is a suggestion, add to your taste to get a coxinha filling more or less creamy.

After letting the egg freeze for the indicated time, it should be hard, perfect for frying without falling apart. Spread it in the beaten egg and then in the breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to make this coxinha egg shell very crispy.

Heat the oil and, when it is very hot, fry the coxinha dough cone until golden. Remove and place on a plate with absorbent paper, to drain excess fat. Place the filling inside with the help of a spoon and press lightly to make it very compact.

Tip: With the coxinha dough and the remaining stuffing, you can prepare coxinhas to decorate.

Decorate your coxinha egg the way you prefer - in this case I used smaller coxinhas, cream cheese and parsley - and this delicious bar food for Easter is ready! Do not hesitate to prepare to serve in your home or sell and let us know what you think in the comments. Enjoy your food!
